Please join the critically-acclaimed ASQ for their 11th season: The Musician and His Muse. We will explore the fascinating working relationships between four composers and the violinists who inspired, critiqued, and ultimately premiered their now-famous string quartets. Our fall recital program, featuring Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 7 in F Major, Op. 59#1 and the String Quartet in G Minor, Op. 27 by Edvard Grieg, will include a look at how consultations with violinists Ignaz Schuppanzigh and Robert Heckman helped inform and shape the composition of these masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire.
